brings together individuals who have a proven track record with extensive
operational experience to guide and support Sionex in achieving its
vision of becoming a world leader in developing and manufacturing miniaturized chemical and biological detection devices.
Paul
Levine , General Partner, Morgenthaler
Ventures - Prior to joining Morgenthaler in 1997 as a venture
partner Paul served as the founding CEO of Atria Software, a Morgenthaler
portfolio company that developed, distributed, and supported a high-end
management system for large software development teams. Paul took Atria
public in 1994, and merged it with Pure Software in 1996. Through most
of the 1980s he held senior technical positions at Apollo Computer,
where he produced networked workstation systems. He received his bachelor's
and master's degrees in electrical engineering and computer science
from MIT. He currently serves on the boards of two other Morgenthaler
portfolio companies: Fiber Optics Network Systems and StarGen.

Joshua
Ruch, Managing General Partner, Rho
Ventures - Joshua co-founded Rho in 1981. Previously he was
an investment banker for six years at Salomon Brothers and Bache Halsey
Stuart in New York. He received an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business
School. His current and recent board seats include Applied Science Fiction,
Diacrin, Diversa, Human Genome Sciences, 3-D Pharmaceuticals, TechSmart
and Yantra.

Alain
Hanover, Managing Director and CEO, Navigator
Technology Ventures - Alain has over 30 years of experience
in venture capital, executive management and product development. He
was co-founder and CEO at Viewlogic and InCert Software, as well as
being an early stage investor or advisor in over 25 private companies.
He co-founded CommonAngels, Boston's leading Angel Investor group. He
currently serves on the following corporate boards: Actuality Systems,
Applix, Bitpipe, CommonAngels, Polychromix, Sand Video and Sionex. Hanover
holds B.S. degrees from MIT; an M.S. from Harvard and an OPM program
degree from Harvard Business School.
Lawrence
A. Kaufman,
Larry
was a founder and former CEO of Sionex. Larry has significant
experience in founding and co-founding leading technology-based start-up
companies. He was a founder and CEO of Digital Graphics, Inc. and
has been President of a number of successful technology-based start-up
companies over the last ten years, including Psychemedics Corporation
and Tropix, Inc. He played principal roles in Separation Technologies,
Inc., OutOfOffice, Inc., VentureRound Group LLC and OTTER, Inc. Before
entering his successful entrepreneurial career he played a significant
role at Polaroid Corporation. Larry holds a B.S. in Physics from Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute, a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from Tufts University
and an Executive M.B.A from Yale University.
