Sionex to Contribute Technology to General Dynamics Chemical Solution Recently Selected by U.S. Defense Department
Bedford, Mass., November 27, 2007 - Sionex Corporation, a leading producer of commercialized chemical and biological sensors and sub-systems, today announced that it will supply General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products with Differential Mobility Spectrometry (DMS) technology. This Sionex technology will support General Dynamics’ recently announced contract with the U.S. Department of Defense under the first major phase of Increment 2 of the Joint Chemical Agent Detector (JCAD) Program.

Nano-Proprietary, Inc. Awarded Homeland Security Contract for CNT-Based Gas Ionizer
Bedford, Mass., October 29, 2007 - Sionex Corporation, a company producing commercialized breakthrough chemical and biological sensors and sub-systems, today announced that a subsidiary of Nano-Proprietary, Inc. Applied Nanotech, Inc. (ANI) has been awarded an SBIR Phase II contract for the continued development of a "Carbon Nanotube (CNT)-Based Gas Ionizer to Replace Radioactive Sources" from the Homeland Security Advanced Research Project Agency (HSARPA). This 18-month contract is for approximately $1,000,000 and results from the successful completion of the Phase I contract for the same project.

BEDFORD, Mass., October 16, 2007 - Sionex Corporation, a company producing commercialized breakthrough chemical and biological sensors and sub-systems, today announced that it has been named by Smiths Detection as a partner for the United Kingdom (UK) Ministry of Defence (MOD) contract to develop advanced technology for future generation chemical agent detectors.

Watford - 12 September 2007 - SMITHS Detection, part of the global technology business Smiths Group, has been awarded a £1.2 million research contract by the UK Ministry of Defence for HiFAWS, a new technology that shows promise for a new generation of small, low-cost chemical agent detectors suited to a variety of applications.
