Homeland Security

In light of the current geopolitical climate, homeland security has become a major focus for governments worldwide. To that end, Sionex is engaged in discussions with a number of companies concerning bringing the enhanced capabilities of the microDMx™ sensor chips and systems to the marketplace through partnerships with Sionex.

It is also anticipated that law enforcement agencies, local and regional authorities, public buildings, major corporations, schools, first responders and transportation centers will be a major focus for this technology in the future. The microDMx™ technology has the power to change the paradigm by enabling much more widespread use of these devices due to lower costs, fewer false positives and simplicity of use. Explosives detection is now commonplace at airports; however Sionex's goal is to make its technology available through its partners to a much wider and diverse audience worldwide.

Sionex has already successfully demonstrated the ability of its technology to monitor and detcect chemical warfare agents, explosives, toxic industrial chemicals and toxic industrial materials. Tests have illustrated superior sensitivity and selectivity over other detection technologies currently deployed.

Sionex may have existing, or proposed, business relationships or agreements which preclude some commercialization activities.
